Oké, helemaal definitief is het niet. Nog stééds niet. Maar het is inmiddels wel voor zo’n 99 procent zeker dat Willem II (ondanks de 1-2 thuisnederlaag tegen PEC Zwolle) de play-offs in moet, waarmee rechtstreekse degradatie dus afgewend zou zijn. Al durven de volledig murw gebeukte, door de eredivisie zwalkende Tricolores zich nog niet rijk te rekenen.
