PSV had dinsdagmiddag goed nieuws te melden voor de eigen achterban. Het contract van Mauro Júnior is namelijk verlengd. Hij blijft tot medio 2029 bij de Eindhovense club, die diep in de buidel heeft moeten tasten om hem aan boord te houden. Mauro stond ook in belangstelling van Braziliaanse en Duitse clubs, maar blijft dus bij PSV. In korte tijd is hij een zeer cruciale speler voor PSV geworden.
