Het was al extreem onwaarschijnlijk dat Willem II zich nog rechtstreeks zou gaan handhaven, maar dat scenario kan na de 1-2 thuisnederlaag tegen Heracles Almelo definitief de prullenbak in. De play-offs zijn (pijnlijk genoeg) het hoogst haalbare. Maar ook rechtstreekse degradatie is (nóg pijnlijker) zeker niet uitgesloten.
