TILBURG - De Tilburgse gemeenteraad reageert totaal verrast op de mededeling van Theo Weterings dat hij per 31 augustus stopt als burgemeester. Hoewel zijn besluit binnen de politiek met respect en begrip wordt ontvangen, roept het ook vragen op. Waarom juist nu, met de gemeenteraadsverkiezingen in aantocht? En hoe nu verder?
