LDODK/Rinsma Modeplein en SCO/European Aerosols stonden al eens in finale om de landstitel van het veldkorfbal. Beide teams behoren dit seizoen opnieuw tot de zestien kandidaten, maar dat was zaterdag in het onderlinge treffen bij de competitiestart nauwelijks te merken.
